ANT1 reported on the BMF MMA World Title fight on July 16, 2022, in the United Kingdom. It was Andreas Tricomitis’ 17th overall MMA bout.

The original opponent, undefeated at 5-0 from Leon Edwards’ UFC championship camp, pulled out shortly before fight day. A 14-10 Cage Warriors veteran stepped in as a late replacement. Andreas won by TKO. The ground-and-pound was severe enough that paramedics had to stabilise the opponent, and the broadcast was temporarily stopped.

His professional record moved to 8-0. He had the BMF MMA World Title.
